Lesley Rimmer received a third award this week when she received her Level 2 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work as a result of training provided locally by Marriner Business Support. This follows hard on the heels of LR Catering trading at the Black and Gold, achieving a Food Safety in Catering Award and being assessed as a Five Star business by the nationally recognised Scores on the Doors food safety rating scheme.

Lesley attended a one day First Aid Training Course at the Black and Gold, which was the first one organised by trainer Rob Marriner, and was pleased to find she had achieved the standard along with the other attendees from local businesses.

Lesley said “I enjoyed the training which was a good mix of practical exercises and theory and provided in a friendly and informal atmosphere. I now feel confident that I could deal with an emergency situation if necessary.” She went on to say “We are pleased with the way our business is developing at the Black and Gold, and have had a lot of successful wedding events at the venue. Achieving five stars and the qualifications can only help enhance the service we can offer and sustain our business during these difficult economic times”.
