Christine Whiteford and the staff at Pot-a-Doodle Do Outdoor Activity Centre, near Scremerston are celebrating double success for their Cafe Bistro and kitchen. Their award of a highly sought after five stars by the Scores on the Doors national Food Hygiene Rating Scheme, follows hard on the heels of hygiene qualifications for two of the staff.
Both Deborah Fell and Joanne Nevins achieved Awards in Food Safety in Catering following training delivered at their premises by Marriner Business Support.
The Scores on the Doors Scheme is increasingly being seen as the place to check on the standards to be expected in catering business and the top score of five stars requires, legal compliance and a high level of confidence in management by enforcement officers.
Following notification of the rating and award of the qualifications to her staff Christine said “We take food safety very seriously at Pot-A-Doodle Do and are delighted that this has been recognised through a National Rating Scheme and the achievement of examination success. The Rating Scheme is designed to promote improved business standards through informed consumer choice and we hope this will attract more customers for all our attractions”.
