Doddington Dairy, local producers of quality ice cream and artisan cheeses, continued their proud tradition of improving food safety, with the qualification success of two of their Supervisors, Linda Lewis and Jonathon Wright. They achieved their Level 3 Award in Food Safety Supervision for Manufacturing Examination, following delivery of training by Marriner Business Support, at the Cheviot Centre, Wooler. Both were delighted to pass the examination, and Jonathon was particularly pleased to achieve the highest available Merit Award.
Doddington Dairy is seen as an industry leader in ensuring staff are appropriately trained and ready to respond to the demands on a modern food production Company. The Dairy often achieves awards for the quality of their products, and recognises that food safety is a crucial element in meeting the needs of their customers, achievement of these awards confirms their leadership in the industry.
Neil Maxwell from Doddington commented following presentation of the awards “suitably trained and competent staff add value to our business and makes sure we can assure our customers that our products are in the best condition and safe whenever they receive them from us. Linda and Jonathon have done well to achieve these awards and are able to continue to supervise the high standards of cleanliness we require in our premises”.
