Willow Cottage Preserves toasts first Compliance documents
Jane and Darren Curry of Willow Cottage Preserves in Lowick received their first comprehensive documentation to assure the safety of their food production from Rob Marriner, of Marriner Business Support, a recently established business also in Lowick.
Jane and Darren have been successfully producing the traditional jams, preserves and pickles for a number of years and wanted to demonstrate to their customers and inspectors that the quality and safety of their food is paramount to their business. They have been working with Marriner Business Support since the beginning of this year to develope documentation which describes the methods they adopt and measures taken to ensure safety is not compromised during production, storage, sale and delivery of their products. This was completed and delivered to them this week.
Rob Marriner, a qualified Environmental Health Practitioner has been working with a number of local businesses on similar projects and this is the first to be completed along with a training package for Jane and Darren.
Jane said “We are proud of our traditional approach to production with quality and safety always being central to our ethos. We are delighted to have worked with Rob on this document and we can now easily show our approach to enforcement officers and to customers who increasingly expect such a professional attitude”.
